  1. Commit to It! If you’re truly sick and tired of being sick and tired then you will do great with a cleanse. If you’re only kind of sick and tired of being addicted to sugar and processed foods, then it may take hitting “rock bottom” as we say in the addiction world before you’re ready to really change.
  2. Eat whole foods. I recommend starting your cleanse just eating fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and oils. All in their purest, rawest forms possible. A great place to get you started is the Whole Living Action Plan. Try to do this for a week. Eat as much of these things as you want. When you’re eating a clean, plant-based diet, you don’t have to do extreme cleanses!! Then add in a bit of gluten-free grains. Leave the dairy and eggs for the third week.
