juicing (vegetables) for cycling?

juicing can benefit cyclists as a cleansing morning pick me up. It packs your day with nutrients and energy.

Although for our high demands from carbohydrates stores its important to use juicing as a meal supplement rather than a replacement. A meal replacement might be more appropriate in the off season during a total body flush.

I accompany my favorite green juice with a half a bagel and peanut butter ( or with pumpkin cream cheese for a seasonal treat ) Although expensive, a juicer is one of my favorite investments and has its own special spot on my counter.

Green juice recipe

1 orange

1 apple

a handfull of kale leaves

1/2 cucumber

a sliver of fresh peeled ginger
